Florida's Top-Rated Brewery Chain Files for Bankruptcy, Closes Doors

In January 2024, Fortune Magazine reported that 2023 had seen a higher number of company bankruptcies than 2020.

Some industries have, nevertheless, prospered and grown recently despite this. Some Florida brewers, for instance, have experienced growth. According to Axios Tampa Bay, Coppertail Brewing in Tampa had a 20% gain between 2020 and 2021.

Unfortunately, one Florida brewery recently declared bankruptcy and is reportedly planning to close one of its locations.

This restaurant and artisan brewery offers cuisine with a nod to New Orleans. The business wants to provide a welcoming, carefree atmosphere where customers may unwind. Consequently, live entertainment is frequently provided.

Regular deals include $3 well drinks during happy hours, $5 lager drafts, and $10 burgers and beers. The brewery has been operating for nearly half a decade.

The Bankruptcy:  Frank Nez claims that in mid-January 2024, Zydeco Brew Werks filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring.

The business is located in two places: one at the University of South Florida, across from the Museum of Science and Industry, and the other in Ybor City.

The Closure: The business declared on social media in mid-January that January 21, 2024, would be its final day at the Ybor City facility. The site near MOSI will continue to be operational.

Florida Residents’ Thoughts Regarding Zydeco Brew Werks: Floridians have a positive opinion of the closed location, giving it 4.6 out of 5 stars. Many comments on how enjoyable and laid back it is to hang around, and some praise the food, particularly the shrimp and grits.
