Las Vegas Teen Faces Additional Charges, Accused of Stabbing Months Before Filming Retired Cop's Murder

The Stabbing Victim’s Face and Back Were Both Severely Wounded.

The teenager who allegedly recorded himself killing a retired police officer in Las Vegas is currently being prosecuted for a different stabbing.

In August of last year, retired California police chief Andreas “Andy” Probst was riding his bike in a cycling lane when he was allegedly driven over by Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16. Both teenagers recorded the event on camera.

According to the New York Post, Ayala, who is already awaiting trial for the murder that is set for September 16, is now being charged with additional offenses connected to a different stabbing incident that took place before the deadly hit-and-run on June 27, 2023.

According to FOX 5 Vegas, the victim of the “extremely violent” attack had many knife wounds, including a significant injury to the head, before the adolescent was taken into custody on January 17.

The stabbing victim also had multiple facial and back wounds. He received acute traumatic pain treatment at the hospital.

“We charged him with crimes resulting in that after it came to our attention that he was allegedly involved in an attempted murder case, a stabbing,” Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson said to KSNV.

The news site reported that the unidentified stabbing victim claimed that an unidentified man had approached him and accused him of stealing. Then a gang of five appeared and launched an assault on him.

All of the suspects were said to be younger than eighteen. Despite finding a knife close to the scene, the authorities were unable to link it to Ayala.

However, Ayala was recognized by onlookers as one of the individuals who stabbed the victim. The results of the DNA test are still pending.

In September of last year, during a picture line-up, the victim recognized Ayala.

“We’ve made some pretty significant accusations against him. “I mean, open murder is as serious as it gets, and now there’s an attempted murder charge against Ayala,” Wolfson remarked of Ayala, as reported by KSNV.
