Columbus, Ohio — Authorities claimed that five persons are being held after a stolen Kia collided with a police car in north Columbus on Saturday afternoon.
Just before 3:20 p.m., a collision occurred close to the intersection of Wyandotte Avenue and North 4th Street.
The Columbus Division of Police stated that investigators were trying to find a suspicious car that had escaped from a traffic stop.
The car was found by the officers, who also established a perimeter. The car then struck a cruiser directly.

Five people are in detention, according to police, who first told 10TV that only three people were being held.
The collision did not injure any cops. One of the young people inside the pilfered Kia was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital in “stable” condition, according to the police.
There are outstanding charges.
