Police Identify Landover Woman, 37, as Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash

CCG – A 37-year-old pedestrian who was struck and murdered earlier this week has been named by police.

The crash claimed the life of Lashaviao Spriggs, a resident of Landover, according to Prince George’s County Police on Friday, May 17.

On Thursday, May 16, the hit-and-run sedan was found, but as of the time of publication, no charges had been brought.

Patrol officers were called to the scene of a pedestrian collision near Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Bell Haven Drive in Landover on Tuesday, May 14, at around 10:30 p.m.

According to the officers, they discovered the traumatized victim on the road. At the scene, she was pronounced deceased.

According to the initial inquiry, the victim was hit by the motorist while trying to cross the street. The driver left the scene without staying.
