The Dubberly Glass Shop proudly opened its new site at 735 Bowens Mill Rd SW, right across Bowens Mill Hwy from its original operation. On Thursday, February 8, 2024, the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce had a joyous grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Under the committed ownership of Tony and Susan Dubberly, Dubberly Glass Shop was founded in 2007 and has since become a vital component of the Douglas-Coffee County community, offering excellent glass services. A notable number of people attended the grand opening ceremony, indicating the community’s strong support and gratitude.

The celebration got underway with a welcome speech from Chelsea Preston, the Chamber’s Director of Member Relations. After giving a moving eulogy, Jamestown Baptist Church Pastor Dennis Dean blessed the Dubberly family and their new business.

Speaking eloquently about Dubberly’s goal, CRMC representative and Chamber Board Chair Ben Floyd highlighted the company’s unwavering commitment, diligence, and exceptional customer service. Mayor Tony Paulk of the City of Douglas brought a lighthearted element to the proceedings by expressing his gratitude to the Dubberly family for their unwavering commitment to the city.

Friends with the Dubberlys, Charlie Davis, the city manager, brought warmth and humor to the occasion while sharing memories of his time spent working with the Dubberly Glass team. The Dubberlys’ close friend and SunBelt Greenhouses general manager, Kevin Koeppler, also serves on the Chamber Board and gave a heartfelt testimonial about the Dubberly team’s commitment to the community, work ethic, and faith.

Susan Dubberly thanked everyone in attendance and underlined that it was their goal to share the gospel by giving away free Bibles and Bible storybooks to anyone who asked or needed them. With the Dubberly Glass Shop’s new facility officially opened, Tony and Susan Dubberly cut the ribbon with pride in front of a crowd that included employees, friends, family, suppliers, and local officials.
