WGXA: Wilcox County, Georgia The honor of being named Georgia’s 2022–2023 Logger of the Year went to a native of Middle Georgia.

The Georgia Forestry Association and the Southeastern Wood Producers Association presented the award to Harry Sanders III, vice president of Cochran-based Sanders Logging. Additionally, Sanders received an official U.S. Senate Commendation from Sen. Jon Ossoff.

“As a third-generation logger, I consider myself incredibly fortunate and grateful, and I don’t take this lightly. Sanders told WGXA, “I love what I do every day.”
