Opening today at the intersection of Central Avenue and Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, across from Georgia State Stadium, is the annual Atlanta Fair. As of April 7, the midway is open. Classic carnival fare, rides, exhibits for all ages, and cuisine are available to fairgoers.
This year’s returnees include the Expo Wheel, Flying Dutchman, Alien Abduction, and Expedition. Aside from that, guests can ride Silver Streak, Time Warp, Zero Gravity, and Nemesis 360 roller coasters. ..
The hours of operation for the Atlanta Fair are as follows: Monday through Thursday, 5 to 10 p.m.; Friday, 5 to 11 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 11 p.m.
At the gate, tickets are available. $3 gets you in under 42′′ and $5 gets you in above 42′′ (it costs $10 from Friday to Sunday). Tickets for the midway ride are available for $1.25 individually or $25 for a book of 25. For $35, an armband with unlimited use each day is offered.
No one under 17 is permitted entry after 6 p.m. every day unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
