Pregnant Woman Injured in Dallas After Pit Bull Attack

On Tuesday, in the 11300 block of Amanda Lane, a pit dog mauled a pregnant woman.

Reyna Gutierrez and her two kids are seen in the video when a pit bull comes up behind them. The dog bit the woman when she tried to run between two parked cars.

A few feet away, her 6-year-old daughter can be heard wailing, and her 9-year-old son managed to escape the dog by climbing into the front of a car.

As the neighbor rushed to assist her, the dog began to attack him. As Gutierrez and her kids made their way home, the man collapsed to the ground and succeeded in freeing the dog from him.

Dallas Police reported that Gutierrez was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for the bites on her hands and forearms.

In an interview with Telemundo 39, her husband Erik Rojas stated that neighbors had told Dallas Police that the pit bull’s owner had come and taken the dog away. Though they are unaware of his identity or particular residence, they are aware that the owner resides in the vicinity.

The incident is being looked into by the police
