After falling from a UAB parking deck’s sixth story, a Hoover man passed away on Monday. Daniel Andres Sanabria was recognized as the individual by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
At UAB, he worked for forty-three years.
The parking deck in the 1200 block of University Boulevard was the destination of a Monday 11:35 a.m. dispatch from UAB police officers.
At 11:45 a.m., Sanabria was declared deceased at the scene after being discovered unconscious.
An ongoing police investigation is underway, but no foul play is suspected, according to a statement made by UAB. There will be a huge gap in the UAB community as Daniel was a beloved member and a close friend to many. He and his pals are in our prayers and our thoughts.
Whether the fall was an accident or deliberate remained unknown on Tuesday.
