Fraud 'Now'! Leander ISD Puts Employee on Leave Due to Misconduct During 8th-Grade Field Trip

CEDAR PARK, Texas —  Parents of eighth-graders received a warning from Cedar Park Middle School on Wednesday reporting improper behavior by a Leander ISD employee.

According to the school, there was a field trip incident where children reported that a district employee had used inappropriate technology.

Lauren Meeks, the principal of CPMS, informed the parents, “We took immediate action to remove this employee from the location, and they have been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.”

Meeks claimed she filed a report and spoke with the Cedar Park Police Department about the event as well.

Meeks stated, “Our campus leaders and the district administration will continue to work closely with those who are directly affected by these allegations.”

However, the district claimed at the time that it could not disclose any more information about the incident because of privacy concerns.

“We at Cedar Park MS take seriously any reports of misconduct, and I would like to express my gratitude to those who have come forward with their concerns,” Meeks stated.
