WASHINGTON – Police in Northwest Washington, D.C. have identified the victim as a 16-year-old boy, days after a deadly gunshot.
The incident occurred in the 1200 block of V Street, Northwest, just before 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers discovered a shot 16-year-old boy when they arrived. He was brought to a nearby hospital for assistance, where he passed away two days later.
Devon Sharp from Northwest D.C. was the man’s identity, according to authorities on Monday.

There is currently no word on any potential motivation for the shooting, nor has any suspect information been made public.
